THESE ARE THE TWO HARDEST QUESTIONS.

Q: A ship you’ve abandoned and why.

I don’t know about abandoned, but I’ve kind of fallen off the Doctor/River Song ship. It was fine as flirty and mysterious, but actually being married? eh.

Harry/Ginny I’ve also fallen away from, but that’s mostly because of movie-Ginny. I actually liked it a lot in the books. And tbh who else would Harry be with? So not abandoned. My ships tend to be pretty sturdy. (I also like to keep the puns consistent.)

R: A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships.

Lord idk. I feel like all my pairings are logical, thus not uncommon, because they’re based on the characters’ interactions. I also don’t read fanfiction so I don’t know what’s most common. I bet no one else ships Giles/me. As far as Buffy goes, I’ve also been toying with Spike/Anya lately (though I wouldn’t want Xander so hurt), but the Buffy fandom is so big I’m sure everything’s been done. Except apparently cheese man. I ship cheese man with becoming a regular cast member.

Ishmael/Queequeg. There’s one for you. (Literary scholars see it too though, so again I’m not very original with my pairings.) But then Ishmael has a torrid affair with Ahab and their relationship is on the rocks! Ahab/Moby-Dick also.

Then there’s Victor/Henry in Frankenstein. Faustus/Mephistopheles. I bet not all English majors read the classics like me. Also, obviously there aren’t a lot of well-written women in those books. They just keep fainting all the time.
